Most voters can’t read Navajo and would have little idea what this pin means, but since since Barry Goldwater was from Arizona, home of the Navajo Indians, it makes perfect sense. Roughly translated it reads “Gold Water Clan.” We’re not sure how many Navajos actually hit the trail to support Barry, but this pin has become a Goldwater classic. It’s a rare 2 1/8 inch celluloid in excellent condition and has long been a favorite of Goldwater collectors.
