Tom Dewey might not have stuck a feather in his cap, but he probably sang the classic song “Yankee Doodle” somewhere along the line. The folk song dates from the French and Indian War and makes its appearance on this litho campaign pin backing Dewey for president. The 1 inch button is a rare, unlisted Dewey item featuring the famous “Spirit of 76” painting by Archibald MacNeal Willard, presumably playing “Yankee Doodle.” Some light wear along edge.
