War appeared to be inevitable when the Societatea Romana de Ajutor was formed on April 1, 1917 in Lansing, Mich. In fact, one day later President Woodrow asked Congress to declare war on Germany. “Ajutor” is a Romanian word for assistance or help. This rare and simply beautiful 8 inch ribbon with pin at top and Woodrow Wilson portrait is a stunning item in excellent condition.
