The concept of “Chemurgy” was thought to be the wave of the future during the Great Depression. The word described a concept that used agricultural products to create finished manufactured goods – Henry Ford’s experimental “soybean car” was a famous example. This colorful pin showing Chemurgy in action has become a Wendell Willkie classic. It’s a 1 1/4 inch celluloid in excellent condition.
