Before Ives came along there was just Currier, and the famous printmaker was responsible for this beautiful presidential portrait of William Henry Harrison. It’s a 10 3/4 by 15 inch color lithograph of Harrison, the Ninth President of the United States. It still has very sharp colors and details, only a few tiny spots here and there, very impressive. Currier first started going solo in business in 1835, so this is a very early Currier presidential print. It carries Currier’s imprint and Spruce Street address at bottom.
