Here’s an interesting Adlai Stevenson item that offers a little baseball lesson, as well. We all know it takes three strikes to be called out. This bright orange Stevenson pin says, “2 strikes are not out, I’m for Adlai.” We assume this must be a 1960 Adlai item, when his supporters were hoping he would run one more time – it would have been his third campaign for president. This 3 1/2 inch celluloid has a tiny white mark on the “2” at upper left.
