Cartoonist Clifford Berryman created a worldwide sensation with his cartoon of Theodore Roosevelt and the bear cub. It was the birth of the “teddy bear.” Berryman’s artwork showed up again on this campaign pin from 1904. Berryman depicted TR and Charles Fairbanks with an admiring teddy bear of their own. This 1 3/4 inch celluloid from the Collins collection is a rare classic, original BP, excellent condition.
