Sam Rayburn was a fixture in Washington for five decades and was Speaker of the House for 17 years. He also was a close friend and mentor to Lyndon Johnson. Rayburn served in the House from 1913 to 1961 and somewhere along the way someone decided he would make a good vice president. This rare 2 1/8 inch celluloid is the only Rayburn VP pin we remember seeing. It has some very faint spots.
