The Democrats took 103 ballots to nominate John W. Davis for president in 1924. By the time they were finished, they were almost too tired to campaign. There certainly were very few Davis pins made and only a small portion of them were this size. This 2 1/8 inch celluloid is an extremely rare Davis celluloid. It has a little lamination mark or two on the right side around 4 o’clock, otherwise is excellent .
