Earl Browder was the leader of the Communist Party USA from 1932-1945. In 1940, he was convicted of passport irregularities and sent to prison. This rare litho pin was made for a delegate of the “Free Browder Congress.” It’s a 2 1/4 inch pin that offers a rare glimpse of the communist struggle in America. From the Mailman collection.
