John Palmer and Simon Bolivar Buckner made up the National Democratic Party (also known as the Gold Democrats) ticket in 1896. They're shown here on a scarce 7/8-inch celluloid with Floersheim back paper. They also became a symbol for the reunification of the country -- Palmer was a Union general during the Civil War and Buckner was a Confederate general. Excellent condition.
