When Harvey Milk was elected to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, he became the first openly gay man to hold office in California. His historic status went to another level when Milk and San Francisco Mayor George Moscone were shot and killed by former Board of Supervisors Dan White in 1978. This 1 1/2 inch Milk for supervisor celluloid is in excellent condition.
