When Joseph Curran talked, union members listened. Curran was a boatswain on the S.S. California when he led a famous strike on that ship in 1936. He then founded the National Maritime Union and remained its president until 1973. This scarce celluloid pin is a Johnson-Humphrey pin from 1964 with Curran urging union members to go “all the way” with the Democratic duo. It’s a 3 1/2 inch celluloid, excellent.
