Some collectors think this rare 1 1/4 inch celluloid pictures William Howard Taft – well, maybe if he went on a diet and had a face job done. This is a really unusual kind of pin made for a Sept. 21, 1905 clambake for the “Kind Word Club.” The main character has a card in his hat that appears to read “Chairman Hibbard.” There was a prominent Boston politician who became mayor in this time frame but the picture doesn’t look like him, either. So if you love rare mystery pins, this one is for you. Excellent. Consigned by a leading Las Vegas collector.
