It took 103 ballots for the Democrats to nominate John W. Davis in 1924. They hardly had any energy left to campaign, so Davis pins are always hard to find. This one is an especially rare Davis celluloid that is one of the few that spell out his entire middle name. “John William Davis” is a 1 1/4 inch celluloid in excellent condition.
