John Pierce St. John was a former governor of Kansas who was nominated for president by the Prohibition Party in 1884. Kansas had become the first state to outlaw alcohol via a state constitutional amendment while St. John was governor. This scarce poster is from the 1884 campaign. It’s an 18 by 22 inch poster that has some extensive damage at lower left and along the bottom and has a few small holes in various areas. Still a very impressive item, it will he shipped shrink-wrapped.
