Daniel Wright Kellogg founded the D.W. Kellogg and Co. in the early 1830s. Kellogg left and turned the company over to his brothers and in 1840 the name of the company was changed, so that dates this lithograph of John Quincy Adams from the 1830s. The 14 by 18 inch print is a colorful Adams portrait. The whit border area has spots and stains and a tear at upper right corner. The portrait part of the print has only a few faint spots and has retained its vibrant colors and sharp details. Not easy to find a J.Q. item like this one that still looks this good.
