James B. Weaver was born in Dayton, Ohio, but ended up living in Iowa where he became a populist hero to Iowa farmers. He ran for president in 1888 on the Greenback Party ticket and again in1892 and won more than 8 percent of the popular vote as well as 22 electoral votes. This scarce 3/4-inch stud from 1892 is from the Al Anderson collection and is in excellent condition.
