The San Diego Exposition, also known as the Panama-California Exposition, was a giant event in 1916 heralding California’s growing role in world affairs. This 1 inch celluloid was made for the expo’s Hughes Day, named for the Republican candidate for president. California turned out the be the vital state in the 1916 election. Scarce, excellent.
