You might think that making a coattail item featuring Herbert Hoover in 1932 was a chancy proposition – the Great Depression didn’t exactly help Herb’s popularity. But this coattail mirror is from Iowa, where Hoover called home, so you can see the reasoning. It pictures Hoover and running mate Charles Curtis and supports U.S. Senate candidate Henry Field and Governor candidate Dan Turner. It’s a 2 1/8 inch celluloid, front excellent, mirror on back a bit cloudy. They all ended up losing, but it was a nice try. A rare Hoover item, excellent condition.
