Harvey Milk was the first openly gay man to be elected to public office in California as a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. Before he won that seat, he ran for California State Assembly. This 1 3/4 inch celluloid is from that 1976 race. While serving as a supervisor, Milk was shot and killed, becoming a martyr for the gay rights cause. Scarce, excellent condition.
