This little Franklin Roosevelt litho in some ways is the ultimate Texas pin. FDR’s running mate, John Nance “Cactus Jack” Garner, was from Texas. And the other candidate on the 7/8 inch pin is Miriam “Ma” Ferguson, legendary Texas politician. Ma Ferguson was the wife of Gov. James Ferguson, who was impeached and removed from office. Ma then ran for office herself, becoming the state’s first woman governor in 1924. She ran and won again in 1932, when this pin was made by the Green Duck Co. Excellent condition.
