Charles Evans Hughes had a remarkable political career – governor of New York, twice on the U.S. Supreme Court (once as chief justice), secretary of state and almost president. This 7/8 inch celluloid made by Bastian Brothers is from his 1916 presidential campaign that brought him within a whisker of the White House. Excellent condition.
