John Calhoun and Daniel Webster were two giants of the U.S. Senate on opposite sides of the slavery issue. This booklet, printed in 1850 by Stringer and Townsend of New York, features speeches on the subject given by the two men in March of 1850. It’s a 32-page booklet that not only is a marvelous historic document but also fascinating reading. Some light stains.
