James Blaine was known as “The Plumed Knight” after famous orator Robert Ingersoll used that phrase in a speech about him. This 1884 campaign item lives up to that name: it features ferrotypes of Blaine and Logan encased in an ornate brass shell shaped like a Medieval knight. Pictures have a few small chips on edges, main part of images are excellent as is the knight and accompanying ribbon. Listed as Hake #3078, this magnificent item is 4 1/4 inches tall.
