John Binns, editor of the Philadelphia Democratic Press, staggers under the load of a coffin, referring to the famous “coffin handbill” he printed, while John Quincy Adams and Henry Clay look on. This 1828 is a pro Andrew Jackson cartoon and a great example of early political cartooning. It is 11 1/2 by 16 inches rough edge with some cuts along border.
