Eugene Delacroix’s 1930 painting “Liberty Leading the People” is a legendary work of art. In 1984, the image was borrowed to create this very popular and probably classic Mondale-Ferraro poster. Geraldine Ferraro is pictured as Liberty leading the people on while Walter Mondale is the man in the top hat, carrying and ERA banner. This colorful 19 by 25 inch poster was paid for by Montana Citizens for Liberty and is one of the most popular of all modern campaign posters. Excellent condition.
