He might have kept us out of war, but in the 1916 election Woodrow Wilson was looking ahead to something else. This rare 1 1/4 inch celluloid from that election is a Wilson classic. It pictures the president with an American eagle and a pair of cannons ready to blast away at anyone who gets in the way. “Preparedness” was the code word at the time for being ready to enter World War I.
