William Henry Harrison is associated with George Washington on this marvelous 1840 ribbon that proclaims “First in War, First in Peace, First in the Hearts of His Countrymen.” The other picture matches later images of the Marquis de Lafayette, the famous Frenchman who fought for the U.S. in the Revolution and was a close friend of Washington's. The 10 inch ribbon is unlisted and has a few small spots, but overall is in fabulous condition.
