Victoria Woodhull was the first woman to run for president (1872 Equal Rights Party), but that was only part of her story. She was a spiritualist and “magnetic healer,” a close friend of Cornelius Vanderbilt, a successful woman stockbroker, an advocate for free love, a suffrage leader and in later life she married into the English aristocracy. This CDV is a rare Woodhull item from her days in New York City. It identifies her as “Broker,” referring to her role on the stock market. It’s a 2 1/4 by 4 inch item in excellent condition.
