The 1949 inauguration was a big day for Democrats – their man Harry Truman won an election he was supposed to lose, which made the celebration all the better. This very scarce celluloid jugate pictures Truman and Vice President Alben Barkley and is attached to a Central Democratic Club of Harrisburg, Pa. ribbon. Entire item measures 6 1/2 inches tall and like just about all of these we've seen, has a small separation problem on the back, this one at 3 o'clock.
