This Metropolitan police badge from Washington, D.C. is a 1949 Truman-Barkley inaugural item. Harry wasn’t always fond of Washington, D.C. – he once said, “You want a friend in this city? Get a dog.” But you can bet he was happy to be there when Badge No. 22 was part of his inaugural celebration. This scarce badge is from the Bob Phillips collection and is 2 1/8 inches and in excellent condition.
