The Billie Can Postcard

"Billie-Can make a sad heart gay, Bill-can keep bad luck away." An intriguing 3 1/2 by 5 1/2-inch colorful postcard from the days of Taft and Bryan, slight corner wear. This "Billiken" image was created in 1908 and became a national sensation -- you can still see the good-luck symbol today as the mascot of the St. Louis University Billikens.
