This badge was worn proudly by a Tammany Hall usher. It pictures the same man that is featured on Item 1530 in this auction, which means the badge is from the 32nd District, which was ruled for many years by Thomas O’Neil. The district held a big event each year at Niblo’s Garden in Brooklyn. This 3 1/2 inch badge is a very scarce Tammany item. A little bit of wear on the ribbon, badge and pin are excellent.
