One of the true iconic pins of political history: The Taft-Sherman Elephant Ears. This spectacular 1 1/4 inch celluloid is one of the most famous of all campaign pins. It’s a real beauty picturing William Howard Taft and James Sherman in the ears of a Republican elephant. This pin was the mate to the Bryan-Kern Clean Sweep pin, also offered in this auction (Item No. 13). Pin has a Whitehead and Hoag back paper, excellent condition.
