Americans were looking for heroes during the Spanish-American War, and Theodore Roosevelt certainly filled the bill. Roosevelt’s exploits at San Juan Hill (or more historically accurate, Kettle Hill) became the talk of the nation. This post-war celluloid campaign pin pictures Roosevelt in his famous Rough Rider uniform. It’s a 1 1/4 inch celluloid with Whitehead and Hoag back paper, excellent condition.
