Georgians liked to call Theodore Roosevelt “Georgia’s Grandson” because his mother was from Georgia. That’s the reasoning behind TR showing up on this Georgia Day pin made for the 1907 Jamestown Exposition, held to mark the 300th anniversary of the founding of Jamestown. It’s a 2 1/8 inch celluloid picturing TR with the family home in Georgia and a ship from the Great White Fleet. Pin still has Whitehead and Hoag back paper and is in excellent condition.
