Al Smith and Joe Robinson represented two separate factions of the Democratic Party. Smith was urban, anti Prohibition and Catholic, while Robinson was rural, dry and Protestant. They managed to get together to form the Democratic ticket in 1928 and this celluloid jugate is a very rare item from that election. It’s a 1 1/4 inch celluloid with beautiful design in excellent condition.
