This rare, unlisted celluloid is a fascinating item. It shows a Republican elephant and Democratic donkey out for the count with the words “Progressive, Thou Shalt Not Steal” above. It appears to be a Theodore Roosevelt item from the famous Progressive Party campaign of 1912. Does it warn Progressives not to steal votes from the major parties or is it a warning that the parties shouldn’t steal the Progressive policies? Either way, this 1 1/4 inch celluloid with Kansas City Advertising Co. back paper is a magnificent item in excellent condition.
