The Progressive Labor Party was founded in 1961 by American communists who felt the Soviet Union had betrayed communism. The group was active on college campuses and created the May 2 Movement, which organized early anti-war protests. The PLP was very active in the anti war movement. This celluloid pin from the 1960s is a PLP protest item that calls for a general strike and immediate withdrawal from Vietnam. It’s a scarce 2 1/4 inch celluloid, excellent.
