Paul Kruger was affectionately known as “Oom Paul" by his followers during the Boer War in South Africa. He became an international figure – so much so that he is pictured on this 1 ¼-inch celluloid promoting a 5-cent cigar made by the CJ Johnson Cigar Co. of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Excellent condition.
