The New York Black Yankees actually played most of the time in Paterson, New Jersey. The team was founded in 1933 (one of the original owners was dancer Bill “Bojangles” Robinson) and played in the Negro National League until 1948. Satchell Paige and Fats Jenkins were among the many stars who played for the Yankees. This 1 1/4 inch celluloid is excellent.
