Back in 1900, it was unseemly for presidential candidates to travel around the country and say things they might regret (my, how things have changed). William McKinley was a firm believer in the front porch campaign and he greeted many people standing on his porch in Canton, Ohio. This pin even shows him with a special visitor – running mate Theodore Roosevelt. It’s a rare 1 3/4 inch celluloid with Whitehead and Hoag back paper in excellent condition. From the Bob Atwater collection.
