William McKinley was the author of the McKinley Tariff Bill in 1890. A congressman at the time, McKinley tied his name to the philosophy of high tariffs to protect home-grown industries. This campaign item added a little muscle to that reputation. It’s a metal pinback in the shape of an arm and hammer ready to protect American workers. The word “Protection” is imprinted on the arm. This 1 3/8 inch item is in excellent condition. Consignor reduced minimum bid.
