Abraham Lincoln and Jefferson Davis face off in the boxing ring on this set of five covers from early in the Civil War. Each cover represents a round and the final result shows Lincoln as the winner. This rare group of five covers is framed and features some super artwork that not only pictures Lincoln and Davis but also General Winfield Scott, Secretary of State William Seward, celebrating free slaves and a host of running rebels. Each cover is 3 1/4 by 5 3/4 inches; the entire framed piece is 16 1/2 by 19 1/2 inches. Excellent condition.
