Legendary Notre Dame football coach Knute Rockne is pictured on this memorial pin created soon after his death. Rockne died in 1931 at the age of 43 in a plane crash in Kansas while on the way to participate in the movie “The Spirit of Notre Dame.” This 1 1/4 inch celluloid is a very rare item. The collett on back is bent at the top right, giving pin an uneven look, but front of pin looks great.
