A magnificent John W. Davis pin from his hometown of Clarksburg, West Virginia. This is an extremely rare Davis pin. It features a marvelous photo, large 2 1/4 inch size and stylish lettering. Davis’ long public career included stints as a congressman, solicitor general of the U.S. and ambassador to Great Britain. He was at the Supreme Court almost as much as the justices: he argued 140 cases before the court over 60 years. This pin is as impressive of a Davis pin from 1924 that you’ll ever find. A real beauty in exceptional condition.
