John Nance Garner was a leading contender for the 1932 Democratic nomination but settled for being Franklin Roosevelt's running mate. He hoped to replace FDR in 1940 but when Roosevelt decided to run again Garner ended up going home and saying the vice presidency was “not worth a bucket of warm spit." This 7/8-inch celluloid has a Whitehead and Hoag back paper, excellent condition.
