John Breckinridge was youngest vice president in history and in 1860 was the presidential candidate for the southern Democrats in 1860. He later became the commanding general of the famous Kentucky “Orphan Brigade” in the Civil War. This rare 7 inch ribbon from 1860 featuring photo by Matthew Brady has a faint spot or two at top edge, overall excellent.
