John Bell of Tennessee was a slave owner who opposed the spread of slavery and a compromise third party candidate in the 1860 election. This 7 inch Matthew Brady ribbon is a rare item with only a few very faint marks at bottom. A beautiful example of this exceptionally tough 1860 ribbon.
